to let sfgtv that the inroom closed captioning is not showing up. thank you. >> good evening, board members. i am peter whit. cabdriver 24 years in san francisco, native san francisco. i grew up here. went to school down the street. what going on here is atrocious to put it mildly. it's -- it's unacceptable. it should be anyway if you are americans. the mta and taxis are in natural and direct conflict with each other. both target low -- localal and visitor markets. but better taxi service to the mta is only one thing. more cabs. mta is not about mandated dispatch standards which they are supposed to follow and keep track of. it's not about taxi flow or efficiency or taxi. mta is not about retaining quality drivers. it's not about ridership satisfaction. it's not about less congestion. and why should they be? you can't make the bucks in the short run by increasing service. only by increasing the number of taxis. just like taxi companies, i might add. as for the methods of tracking and monitoring the dispatch required. no records are current or consistent, thus unusable. starting back

stated. >> i want to recognize the sfgtv staff working on this committee. madam clerk, could you please call item 1. >> item no. 1, resolution urging the metropolitan transportation commission of the state legislature to strengthen the privacy provisions of personal information of the clipper card program. >> thank you, madam clerk. this is an item that i have called forward and i want to thank my co-sponsors, supervisor chiu and supervisor olague, my committee members, for their co-sponsorship. this resolution has come out of recent media reports of the grave concerns about the clipper card privacy policy. after reviewing this issue further and discussing it with staff on the mtc, i am encouraged they want to make the clipper card privacy policy as strong as possible. the clipper card privacy policy gives the mtc the right to maintain all personal information indefinitely for active clipper accounts and for up to 7 years after accounts are closed or terminated. i am encouraged the mtc is taking steps to address these issues on their own. i hope this will assure the public the mtc is

a slide up if sfgtv folks could go to the overhead for me. it shows, it shows our hetch hetchy annual generation. and, you know, we have 90 years worth of data that we're relying on to project forward. this slide shows you both the actual hetchy generation in the blue bars. the wet year projection, what we refer to as a wet year, what we refer to as normal year here in the green dash line. and then dry year. we use those same scenarios for our budget planning and financial planning. we set the budget every -- on our budget cycle every two years, assuming a normal generation year, a normal water year. of course, there are exceptions to that which this slide shows. so, the act requires that we -- that we start in calendar year 2011 meet 100% of our retail energy needs from hetch hetchy and rps eligible resources on a calendar year basis. it does have some limited exceptions and i'll describe those to you. what that means to us, sort of the simple math which i show here on the slide is we take our demand, our puc retail sales. we subtract out our supply, which is made up of hetchy genera

is holding meetings on sfgtv in full view of the public it becomes more apparent how much of an enabler this body has been, it enables city bodies and personnel to evade their daoulties under the law and to hide that from public scrutiny. the whistle blower laws are not be used to protect the whistle blower but to protect the target. they are being used to hide the true facts of the investigation and to allow the city agency and employees to evade their actions. they hide the extent and the validity of the investigative process used by the ethics staff and the public records law are always intended to disclose rather than conceal public matters. instead these laws are purposefully misinterpreted to protect the agencies in question but also the ethics staff. as far as you not having a conflict of interest, let's look at the arts commission when they got the report from the civil grand jury that listed what they had done, including spending $300,000 on things that they had no legal authority to do so. charging fees, that they had no legal authority and fire the cultural director and repla
